Question
What do you do if you have Multiple QuickBooks Desktop Versions installed (Not supported by Autymate)?
Answer
The Autymate Desktop App does not support having multiple versions of QuickBooks Desktop installed. Suppose you install a new version of QuickBooks Desktop. Please uninstall the previous version.
We have found that this issue happens when someone upgrades their QuickBooks and still has the old version of QuickBooks installed. To fix this issue, uninstall the previous version of QuickBooks, expand the connection details on the Autymate App Dashboard, and hit fix connection. Once the older versions of QBD are uninstalled, run the latest version of QuickBooks, open your company file, and open the Autymate desktop app. For example, let’s say you have QuickBooks Desktop 2019, and you want to upgrade to 2022, then uninstall 2019 and then install 2022. Also, if you have the Autymate Desktop App already installed on a 2021 or earlier version, please uninstall it and be sure to install the 64-bit version (Learn more here about installing the correct version of Autymate.
Here is the error message you will see in the logs if you experience that issue:
ERROR MESSAGE: HTTP protocol error. 517 Server Error. (Error: FFFFFFFC - Connection failed: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. 127.0.0.1:8166).
SOLUTION: Autymate services stopped. Please click [Fix Connection] to troubleshoot your connection.
