You can avoid having to remember to do this by setting the desktop icon to always run as an administrator by following these steps:

1. Click the QuickBooks Desktop Icon and hit Properties.
2. Then hit Advanced
3. Check the box `Run as administrator
4. Click OK and then click ‘OK’ again.
