You must be running QuickBooks Desktop in Admin mode. Most back-office machines are set to run as an Administrator automatically, but if you are running from your desktop computer, you may need to follow these steps. First, right-click QuickBooks Desktop and hit `Run as administrator..
You can avoid having to remember to do this by setting the desktop icon to always run as an administrator by following these steps:
- Click the QuickBooks Desktop Icon and hit
Properties.
- Then hit
Advanced
- Check the box `Run as administrator
- Click
OK
and then click ‘OK’ again.
